A saga in four acts
The game
Vikings: Northern Colonization is a turn-based strategy game. You lead a Scandinavian clan whose land no longer feeds it: build the ships, embark your people, face the sea and raise, on an unknown island, a colony able to survive the winter. Every turn counts; every winter decides.
IThe homeland
A village, a shipyard, fields that are too small. Prepare the departure: timber, food, longships.
IIThe exodus
The longships leave the harbour with what you managed to gather. What you leave behind will not come back.
IIIThe crossing
Sea tiles, fog, storms: sailing is an economy of its own, and every turn at sea eats into your supplies.
IVThe new world
One island, three clans, seasons that forgive nothing. Found the colony, expand your territory, hold on until spring.
Plan, trade, hold
What you will do

Plan your economy
Assign your villagers, choose what you produce, read next turn's balance before you play it.

Survive the winter
Autumn announces winter, and winter has its thresholds: food, timber, shelter. Those who did not plan will not see the thaw.

Trade at the market
Prices move turn after turn. Buy low, sell high, or keep your reserves for the bad days.

Compete with the clans
Three clans share the island. Points, territories, alliances of convenience: the race is won over the long run.

Defend your territory
Palisades, lookouts, weapons: what you have built draws envy. Hold your borders.

Play the seasons
Each season changes the map, the yields and the risks. Time is not scenery: it is an opponent.
Online multiplayer
Play with three
Three clans, one island, and three players behind them. The game was built for it: simultaneous turns, sealed orders, a resolution everyone discovers at the same time — the tension of a board game among friends, without having to meet on the same evening.

- ᚠ
Simultaneous turns
Everyone gives orders at the same time; nobody waits for their turn. Once each player has sealed their orders, the turn resolves and the three clans discover what the others attempted.
- ᚢ
At your own pace
A few minutes a day are enough: give your orders when you can, and you will be notified when the next turn awaits. A game unfolds over a few days, like a correspondence.
- ᚦ
No empty seat
A player missing? A computer clan takes their place. And alone, you face two computer clans on the same island.
